Base & groundworks
Sound, level sub-base and a surface course laid to falls with drainage designed in, the foundation of a court that plays true.
Padel & racket sports
Padel is the fastest-growing racket sport in the country, and the surface is what players feel on every point. We surface, install and resurface padel courts across London, from the base and drainage up to the artificial turf, infill and line markings.

New padel clubs are opening across London and the South East, and operators are converting underused tennis and five-a-side space to meet demand that is running well ahead of supply. As a commercial surfacing contractor covering London, we help clubs, leisure operators and developers get courts that play true and stand up to constant use, indoors and out.
A padel court is not laid like a tennis court or a sports hall. The playing surface is a specialist artificial-grass carpet dressed with a silica sand infill, and it is only ever as good as the base beneath it. Get the base, the falls and the infill right and the court plays consistently for years; cut corners and you get puddles, ripples and uneven wear.
We manage the whole project, coordinating the right specialist trades from groundworks through to the finished surface and markings, with one written quote and one accountable, managed job rather than a separate groundworker, surfacer and fitter. And we plan the work around your opening calendar so courts come back online on schedule.
What we deliver
Sound, level sub-base and a surface course laid to falls with drainage designed in, the foundation of a court that plays true.
Monofilament or fibrillated padel turf in your court colour, dressed with silica sand infill brushed to the right depth for pace and grip.
Crisp white lines tufted or inlaid into the turf rather than painted, so they stay sharp through constant play.
Re-turfing, fresh infill and re-brushing to bring tired courts back to life, plus advice on keeping them playing well.
Padel sits within our wider sports and recreational surfacing, so whether you are adding courts to a leisure site or building a dedicated club, we can take on the surfacing alongside the rest of the project.
What to think about
These are the points we talk through with London clubs and operators when planning new courts or a resurface.
How we work
We assess the ground, levels and drainage, talk through turf and budget, and set it all out in a clear written quote.
We prepare the sub-base and lay the surface course to tight tolerances and the right falls for drainage.
We lay the turf, brush in the infill to depth and set out crisp, hard-wearing line markings.
We hand the court over ready for play, with simple maintenance guidance to keep it performing.
Why operators choose us
Common questions
A padel court uses a specialist artificial-grass carpet dressed with a silica sand infill brushed down between the fibres. The infill stabilises the turf and sets the pace, grip and bounce of the court, so getting the depth right is as important as the carpet itself.
Yes. Outdoor courts are built on a sound, level base laid to falls so water runs off rather than pooling, with drainage designed in. The turf and infill are chosen to drain and recover quickly after rain, so courts are playable for as much of the year as possible.
Often, yes. Where the base is sound, a tired court can be re-turfed and re-dressed, or topped up with fresh infill and re-brushed, to restore the play at a fraction of the cost of a new build. We will tell you honestly whether the court is worth resurfacing or whether the base needs addressing first.
It depends mostly on the groundworks. Where a sound base already exists, surfacing is relatively quick; a full build including sub-base, surfacing and structure takes longer. We give a clear programme with the quote and plan the work around your opening calendar.
